Green County, Tennessee Tall Chest
ca. 1795 - 1810
57 1/4 inches (height), 35 3/4 inches (case width), 20 inches (depth of case).
Primary wood: Walnut, Secondary woods: Yellow pine and tulip poplar.
Molded cornice above three small drawers above two medium drawers over three graduated drawers, all with thumb-molded edges; high bracket feet.
Quaker locks on top three drawers, pegged feet supported by extensions of sides, dovetailed drawers.
Pulls replaced, one side of molded cornice replaced, one pegged foot replaced (not the extension of the side support), repair to some of the molded edges, etc.
Very early and rare Tennessee tall chest.
