39 1/2 inches (maximum height), 29 inches (maximum width), 27 1/2 inches (width of case), 18 3/4 inches (case depth), 20 inches (base depth), 12 ½ inches (height of legs).

Retains the original divided case liner (very rare). The front Molding has a very unusual hand tooled design. Legs are gracefully turned and are of an excellent height.

Primary wood: Cherry. Secondary wood: Tulip Poplar. Pulls are old replacements. Original finish. Full provenance available to purchaser. (Tennessee Sugar Chest in extraordinary original condition complete with case liner and full provenance, both of which few period sugar chests retain.)
