The artist studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with Wilmaski and Giesbert according to the reference book A Grand Tradition: The Art and Artists of the Hoosier Salon, 1925 – 1990. The last address for her was East Chicago, Indiana. Records indicate that she exhibited at the Hoosier Salon in 1932, 1933, 1936, 1937, 1939, and 1940 under the last names of Seifert and Watkins.
