"PERIOD HEPPLEWHITE CULPEPPER COUNTY, VIRGINA TALL DESK" (Early 19th century)
Approximate maximum dimensions: 49 inches (height), 43 inches (width of top), 42 inches (case width), 21 inches (depth of top), 20 inches (case depth).
The primary wood is walnut, the top is trimmed with tiger maple, the secondary wood is primarily southern pine, appears there may be some poplar secondary wood. Pulls are not original; however, they appear to be period. Some overall restoration. Extremely beautiful piece of Southern furniture.
