SEVEN (7) GEORGIA COIN SILVER SPOONS
Five (5) coin silver spoons with shell tipped handles with retailer’s mark “R. R. Smith (Rufus R. Smith, working Macon, Georgia, 1829 – 1833), and pseudohallmarks for W. Forbes (working Albany, N. Y., 1802 – 1831); monogrammed; 5 3/4 inches (length).
Two (2) salt spoons with fiddle handles, mark Lord (possibly Benjamin Lord, working Rutland, Vt. 1797, and Athens, Ga., 1831- d. 1843); 3 3/4 inches (length).
Condition: one salt spoon with a small dent to handle. Larger spoons with scattered minute dents and very light scratches.
A very reasonable grouping of Southern Coin silver.
