6 1⁄2 inches (height), 5 1⁄2 inches (maximum width), 3 1⁄2 inches (across bottom), 4 inches (opening at top).

Alkaline/ash glaze, line decoration under lip, unusual form, cord/rope/wire mark on bottom where
it was removed from the wheel.

This piece appears to be earlier than most of the utilitarian pieces that are found. It has unobtrusive nicks and chips, but no cracks. “Came from an estate sale in Hamilton, Alabama.”
